Our History

In 2002, recognizing the growing number of diabetics, Imagine Works, LLC (parent company of DiabetesSite.Net) President, Darrell L. Weaver decided to take a stand and create DiabetesSite.Net. A year later several members of his immediate family would be diagnosed with Type II diabetes.
He determined that this new stand should result in the creation of a new breed of business, one that was managed not for profitability, but for the benefit of its clients, fellow diabetics like his family.

DiabetesSite.Net was born out of the need for a place to turn for supplies, education & support for both diabetics and those concerned with diabetic care.  What made DiabetesSite.Net different?  We believe that diabetes can be controlled and eventually cured. This belief is driven by our motto, ‘Dedicated to finding a cure, one purchase at a time.’

At Diabetessite.net, our hope is to be put out of business, not by competitors, but by contributions - contributions so great that diabetes will wiped out entirely.

In the near future, DiabetesSite.Net hopes to partner with existing communities, individuals and organizations, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Diabetes Association to create responsible business that contributes to finding a cure for Diabetes.

We at DiabetesSite.Net pledge to you, the diabetic patient who struggles to manage the disease; to you, the diabetic senior who has found after a lifetime that your body has changed and threatens your survival and well-being; to you, the diabetic adult who moves through life and profession while keeping a balance on internal systems that demand more than just a diet or an injection, but a lifestyle; to you, the diabetic child who wakes each day with enthusiasm and vigor for life; and to you, the Mother, Father, Husband, Wife and loved one of a diabetic - We pledge to you a donation of every purchase to research that will lead to the cure and extinction of Diabetes.
